Madre: ¿Dónde fuiste anoche?

   - Where did you go last night?

Hija: Yo fui al cine con mi amiga Bárbara.

   - I went to the cinema with my friend Barbara.

Madre: ¿Por qué no me llamaste?

   - And why didn't you call me?

Hija: Yo olvidé mi teléfono.

   - I forgot my telephone.

Madre: Por favor, la próxima vez llámame cuando tú estés fuera en la noche.

   - Please, the next time call when you are out late.

Hija: Está bien mamá, tú no necesitas preocuparte.

   - Ok mom, but there is no need to worry.

Madre: Entiendo que tú no eres una niña pero me sentiría mejor si sé que todo está bien contigo.

   - I understand that you are not a baby but I will feel much better knowing that everything is well with you.

Madre: Hay mucha gente mala en el mundo.

   - There are a lot of bad people in the world.

Hija: Estoy de acuerdo mamá. La próxima vez voy a llamarte.

   - I agree with you mom. The next time I will call you.
